  Thank you for your help.   Apparently, the gtkrc file is used by any 
program that uses some part of the GTK library, as I have quite a few of 
these in various program locations.
All except the CoffeeCup HTML program directories that is.   I tried a 
few things, but it still wouldn't come around, which is no big loss, 
actually.    I just discoved Nvu, which is a new product, similar to 
DreamWeaver and FrontPage, so I sent CoffeeCup to the Trash bin.   They 
don't support it now anyhow.
